Edwin Gitau has taken the initiative of equipping young people with information about drugs, the life skills necessary to enable them to deal with different situations without turning to drugs, the ability to resist pressure to use drugs and an understanding of what drugs are. Below is an account of the ongoing achievements.

Jamhuri Primary Class 7 & 8 (2015) is among the beneficiaries of the initiative supported by Jungle Foundation.
60.1% of Kenyans use alcohol, 8.6% still in School; 58% using tobacco 3.1% in school, after this sensitization at Jamhuri Primary School -Thika, we expect Zero % of substance abuse and indulgence.

“It takes the village to raise a child…”
Edwin Gitau & Jungle Foundation acknowledges that education authorities should not accept sole responsibility for changing student health behaviors, including reducing drug use. It is for this reason that we visit children in schools like Matopeni in Ruiru to impart knowledge on effects of Alcohol, Drugs and substance use. A demand reduction strategy!
Kimuchu Primary School: careful and purposeful child training is needed!
Begin child training early and you will not regret in future. “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let no thy soul spare for his crying” (Proverbs: 19:18). Edwin shares snacks to pupils at Kimuchu primary school after a sensitization seminar.
Pupils of Kimuchu Primary school demanded for a group photo with their Head teacher Mr. Ngigi and the facilitator Mr. Gitau after a sensitization session in their school on Drugs prevention and Life Skills. It’s a joy!!
